Homemade Natural Anti-Aging Face Mask for Smooth Glowing Skin
Have you been struggling to improve the appearance and texture of your facial skin? It can be a nuisance having to deal with skin dramas whether that be acne, dry skin or premature wrinkles.
So, it makes sense that most people tend to run out and buy the latest anti-aging product that claims to be miraculous.
There is nothing wrong with using good topical anti-aging products, but this mask is easy to make at home whenever you need it (I try to use it weekly), and will potentially cost you less money.
In this simple and natural face mask, I use avocado, honey (a bit more on that later), extra-virgin olive oil and egg.
I have found that these four foods are especially useful for dry skin, which can be a common occurrence as we get older.
They combine to bring moisture and elasticity to the skin which makes skin feel smooth and plump.
I personally find that this mask reduces the appearance of fine lines on my skin after regular use. I normally have dry patches on my cheeks as well, which I find this mix tends to remedy.

Manuka Honey for Smooth Glowing Skin
Now I have been using this homemade mask recipe for a long time, but I recently discovered the one thing that I had been missing in this recipe. And that was Manuka honey.
If you haven’t heard of it, Manuka honey comes from the manuka bush native to New Zealand, and it is said to have stronger antibacterial properties than regular honey.
Research suggests that Manuka honey acts as an anti-inflammatory and antioxidant, which plays a role in skin repair.
Manuka honey is the main sect ingredient in this homemade mask. In fact, many facial and skincare products now contain Manuka honey.
Up until recently, I always used regular old honey in this recipe. Once I substituted it with Manuka honey, I could not believe the difference it made. My skin felt so much more smooth and softer.
I have found that combining Manuka honey with avocado, extra-virgin olive oil and egg makes the perfect nourishing anti-aging homemade mask.
Note: Please do not use honey if you are allergic to honey, bee stings or bee pollen. Always consult your physician before using any natural, herbal or medical remedies.

Avocado, Olive Oil and Egg for Wrinkles and Fine Lines
Avocados are a good source of vitamins, minerals and fatty acids that help repair and protect the skin. Avocados contain vitamins C, E, K and monounsaturated fatty acids.
Next, extra virgin olive oil contains vitamins A and E, both of which help repair skin. Extra virgin olive oil is also easily absorbed making it suitable for dry skin. Eggs are a good source of protein and may help tighten pores to improve the overall appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
You might find your skin feels greasy straight after washing this mask off. If this bothers you, follow through with a gentle facial cleanser and moisturizer after rinsing the face mask with warm water.
I prefer to just pat dry with a towel after rinsing with warm water and finish off by applying my usual paraben-free moisturizer.
I always find that the products soak in within an hour or two, leaving my skin feeling amazing and looking brighter.
